Battle of the Badges brings together local police officers and firefighters for an evening of friendly competition, community spirit, and giving back. What starts as a rivalry on the ice is united by one shared mission: supporting the first responders who serve our communities every day.
Players from police and fire departments across the Fargo-Moorhead area trade their uniforms for hockey jerseys as they compete for bragging rights while helping raise funds for the Hometown Heroes Fund. Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and dollar donated supports grants that provide lifesaving equipment, training, and critical resources for first responder and emergency service organizations throughout our region.
Whether you're cheering for Team Law or Team Fire, every fan helps make a difference.
Ways to Support Battle of the Badges
❋ Purchase TicketsAttend the game and help support the Hometown Heroes Fund. All money from the ticket purchases goes back to support local first responders and emergency service organizations. Tickets are $5 general admission (13+) and free for 12 and under.
❋ Sponsor the EventSponsorships are a major part of helping us reach our fundraising goals. Sponsors receive recognition during the Battle of the Badges event while helping fund critical equipment, training, and resources for local heroes.
❋ VolunteerHelp make Hometown Heroes signature events a success by assisting with event setup, registration, fundraising activities, silent auctions, community outreach, and other volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Whether you have a few hours or want to get more involved, we'd love to have you on our team.
