About the Event

Bags & Badges launched in 2026 as Hometown Heroes' annual community cornhole tournament. More information on the 2027 event will be shared at a later date.
Teams of two compete in a double-elimination cornhole tournament, bringing together first responders, businesses, and community members for a day of friendly competition and giving back.
Proceeds from Bags & Badges directly support the Hometown Heroes Fund, helping provide grants for critical equipment, training, and resources for first responder and emergency service organizations throughout our region.

Bags & Badges is one of Hometown Heroes' signature fundraising events, bringing together first responders, businesses, and community members for a day of friendly competition, connection, and giving back.

Whether competing on the boards, cheering from the sidelines, or supporting through sponsorships and donations, every participant plays a role in strengthening our communities. Proceeds from the event directly support the Hometown Heroes Fund, helping provide grants for lifesaving equipment, training, and critical resources for first responder and emergency service organizations throughout our region.

Bags & Badges was created to bring our community together while supporting the heroes who serve us every day. We look forward to continuing to grow the event as an annual community tradition centered around teamwork, connection, and giving back.

Thanks to the generosity of our participants, sponsors, volunteers, first responders, and community members, the 2026 Bags & Badges event raised $4,000 for the Hometown Heroes Fund!
